Tomato Soup and Heart Shaped Grilled Cheese – This recipe has more steps because it’s a true lunch recipe, but it’s still easy to make! Start by melting a bucket of soup. Heat the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Then, add 1/4 cup chopped onion, 1 small garlic clove and saute for 2 minutes until softened. Next, over low heat, add 1/4 tsp. Paprika, 3 chopped fresh basil leaves, and 3 oz. of softened Neufchatel cheese (can be substituted for cream cheese). Then, gradually store in 3/4 cup milk and 1 can of condensed tomato soup. Valentine’s Day Shirley Bobble – Shirley Bobble is a great way to make Valentine’s Day happy for the kids! Personally, I still love Xulan Popovers because they are a great dessert that only takes two minutes to make. All you need to make them is:Seven-Up, ginger ale, or Sprite, Grenadine, and cherries. First, fill a nice glass with ice. Then, pour the soda over the top of the glass. Sprinkle pomegranate sauce on top (I like to make mine redder than in the picture because they’re sweeter!) and some cherries. Done! If you want a red-themed dinner, these are the perfect addition. The adult version? Add 1 ounce of vodka and make a “Dirty Shirley”. yum! Recipe from Pen and Paper Flowers.
Mini Heart Pizzas – To make these mini heart pizzas, you’ll need a large and a small heart cookie cutter. (You can get these at the dollar store this time of year!) First, preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Next, take a package of Pillsbury thin pizza crust and roll it out. Use a large cookie cutter to cut out hearts and place them on a greased baking sheet. Next, use your small cookie cutter to cut out small hearts from the pepperoni slices. Spread a thin layer of jarred pizza sauce over the hearts and cover with chopped mozzarella cheese and hearts. Bake for 5 to 8 minutes, until browned, and you’ve got pizza! Recipe from The Nerd’s Wife.
