Step 1 – Get your CVS Extra Care Rewards Card (ECB) – Go to the store or apply online. I personally would go to the store where you can get your card on the spot.
Step 2- Download the CVS app to your phone and link your account. This will allow you to clip coupons, see your rewards, refill prescriptions, see weekly ads, and more.
3 . Know Your Policies The first thing you can do to successfully use coupons is to know the store’s coupon policy, print a copy of the policy and keep it with you. This is beneficial in many ways. Especially at first, if you are unsure, you can ask to refer to the policy. Also, if you know that certain things are allowed, you can pull out your policy and politely say, “Can you help me, I’m new here and it says ‘ ! That way, the cashier/manager will know that you know about the policy, when honestly, he/she probably doesn’t. Go here and get the official CVS coupon policy.
Step 4:Look at the contests and ads to see what items are on sale, any ECBS, etc. Check your apps for CVS coupons and manufacturer coupons, etc. Your best bet is to look at the weekly contests, make a list and clip coupons. Go here and check out our weekly CVS contests.
Step 5:Be organized and prepared! This is one of the most important pieces of advice I can pass on. When you are ready to go, clip a list of items you want to purchase and your coupons to your list. This will ensure you don’t make any mistakes.
Step 6:Start small and don’t chase every deal. Don’t be too hard on yourself if you’re just starting out and you realize that you might make some mistakes, get exhausted, etc. It will happen. Don’t get discouraged. Wipe yourself clean, start over and get ready for next week’s sales. One day at a time, one sale at a time. Follow one breakdown at a time to get a feel for it, then add another, and so on.
Here are all the reasons you want to shop at CVS
The sales cycle is Sunday through Saturday at midnight. You will see some breakdowns that include earl activation. This is one where your mileage may vary (YMMV) Ask your store when they start activating earl, etc. This means some sales will overlap and expired coupons can be used.
Go to a CVS Savings Center or RedBox and you can print out coupons and special instant savings that can be used, most of the time the printable coupon will be a CVS store coupon that can be combined with a manufacturer’s coupon
Extra Care money prints out immediately so they can be used right away.
Extra Care deals are tracked so you can keep a close eye on your coupon limits.
You can mix and match items from Extra Care deals, you must meet the monetary threshold for the same deal. For example, spend $30 to get a $10 ECB and so on.
You can use your ECBs (Extra Care Dollars) on other ECB deals to lower your out-of-pocket costs. Or “roll over” ECBs!
For every $30 you spend on beauty products, you’ll earn an extra $3 in rewards: makeup, skincare, facials, hair care, hair color, and perfume. This is in addition to the ECB beauty deal, so basically you get to “double dip”.
You can get free hair color.CVS has a hair color rewards program that allows you to get 1 free hair color when you purchase 7 hair colors (you are automatically enrolled when you purchase a hair color). A coupon for a free hair color will be printed at the bottom of your receipt and is valid for two weeks.
You can earn extra money for treatments each quarter you spend at CVS, and CVS Quarterly Extra Bucks are definitely the easiest way to make money at CVS because they’re based on purchases you’re already making! Over the course of the year, you will receive 2% of your CVS cash spending in the form of Extra Bucks. You’ll receive four quarterly ExtraBucks rewards throughout the year:January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1.
Buy One Get One Free sales and coupons. If CVS has a BOGO FREE coupon and a BOGO FREE sale, you can use both and get the product for free. If there is a BOGO FREE sale, you can use a coupon on each item, even if it is a free item.
You can use one manufacturer’s coupon, one coupon on each item and an unlimited number of store coupons, in store coupons, etc. So…you have an Almay coupon that says an Almay Eye coupon for $2.00 and then a store coupon.
Buy 2 Almay Mascara @ $5.00 = $10.00
Use the $2 2/1 manufacturer’s coupon
Then there is a $3 store coupon that is cheaper than the Almay cosmetics coupon
And a coupon for $2.00 off $10.00 in cosmetics
All of these coupons can be used and you can get ECBs and Beauty Bucks!
You only need to spend 98% of the threshold amount to get ECB rewards. This means that if the total amount to get the bonus is $20, you only need to spend $19.60 and so on. The ECB will print money after reaching 98%.
